FAQ

  • How long does the design process take?

The initial phase from our first meeting to solidifying our design plan usually takes about two weeks. Of course, we will work at your pace if you need more time to make decisions; I never want you to feel rushed. Once we have an agreed upon plan, I’ll get started.

  • How long will it take to complete my project?

The timeline to complete a full service package will depend on whether we are ordering furniture and what those lead times are. I can work quickly once everything arrives and have the room completed within a week (in most cases). However, once we meet and agree on a plan, we can come up with any timeline that works best for you as I’m sure you are ready to get that nursery done ASAP!

  • Do you take kickbacks from the furniture I buy?

No, I do not receive a percentage from anything you purchase for your home. I charge a flat rate for each project that does not fluctuate based on how much or what you are buying. If I am able to get a discount at a retailer, that will be for your benefit only. For additional information on pricing, please visit the ‘Services’ section of my website.

  • What if I don't like the design board you come up with?

I will make revisions to the design and work in collaboration with you so that you are happy before executing any design plan. This is not about what I want it to look like – this is your home and you will use the space daily. It is important to me that you are satisfied throughout the entire process and will always be available to discuss questions or concerns along the way.

  • What is your design style?

My design style is collaborative; we’ll have fun creating the style you love when we work together. I don’t have a specific design style that I focus on or push on you. My favorite thing about decorating is that there are so many ways to express it visually. I also love finding ways to decorate a space that make it versatile with the ability to grow with your family.

  • I'm expecting. When should I hire you to start planning my space??

The earlier, the better! We are seeing 2-3 month lead times at a lot of the manufacturers so this is something we need to plan for in order to have your nursery ready before baby arrives. Plus, if we are able to create a beautiful, functional space earlier on in your pregnancy, you will have a designated place to put all of the wonderful baby gifts you receive so they don’t overwhelm you by piling up in the corner of an empty room.
